Nivea Urban Skin Range

Living in the city adds a few concerns to my skin. Pollution, dryness, sun damage and congestion – just to name a few!

Bzzagent recently sent me Nivea’s Urban Skin Range, which is targeted at refreshing urbanely battered skin. The products include 3 face masks, a night cream and a day cream.

The masks are my favourite of the products from the range. They are both 1 minute masks. I was pretty sceptical about 1 minute masking at first, as I love a good long pamper session. But they are great to refresh the skin quickly after a long day or a quick pick-me-up before the day. Great for people on the go.

The first is the Purify mask. It’s clay based and designed to cleanse and exfoliate the skin. It’s not too drying on my already dry skin, like most clay masks I’ve tried and leaves my skin feeling smooth and looking fresh. Great for when your skin looks lacklustre and like it needs a deep cleanse.

My favourite mask of the two is the Moisture mask. It’s a good way to get a quick boost of good moisture.

I loved the Night Cream from the range too. It has a very similar gel texture and feel to Clinique Moisture Surge and The Body Shop Vitamin E Moisture Cream, both of which I enjoy.

The Day Cream, I really didn’t enjoy. Although it did moisturise well, it left a slight sting to the skin. I’m not talking a nice glycolic tickle, I’m talking actual irritation. It didn’t leave any redness or rash, but I really didn’t feel like that sting is good for the skin.

It a shame, because apart from the Day Cream, I think this is a great, budget friendly range.

Have you tried this new Nivea range? If so, what were your thoughts? If you haven’t, head to my Instagram, I’m giving away free samples of the Purify Mask and Day Cream for the first people to comment that they want to try it!
