I got invited to Debenhams Birmingham Bullring for an event to show off Make Up For Ever’s new Ultra HD Perfector range.
For those of you have tried MUFE base products before, you’ll know they are mostly about high and heavy coverage, which is great if that’s what you’re after, but dewy skin seems to be in. So MUFE have decided to launch the following –
Ultra HD Perfector medium coverage dewy foundation. It comes in 12 shades, which is small for such a big brand, but not unusual for a lighter coverage foundation. It has an SPF of 25 which is good to have, although I would always recommend using a dedicated SPF in your morning skincare regime.
Underpainting, a colour correction and concealer palette, to help create an illusion of naturally healthy and flawless skin.
And Ultra HD Soft Light Liquid Highlighter, which has a lovely natural sheen but is buildable to a blinding shine. It comes in 4 different pearlescent shades.
MUFE showed us how to create a gorgeous, natural, glowy and summer friendly look.
The model was looking radiant by the end of her makeover.
After trying a sample of the Perfector myself, I’d say its a great base for those who don’t want a mask of a full face and those who are after a healthy, natural look. It works well with my dry skin and doesn’t crack with wear. It made me look hydrated and luminous.
It hasn’t got the longest wear time, I’d say about 6 hour of well wear. Personally I prefer something that will last longer, even for a lighter base. Somebody who doesn’t mind doing a quick touch up would love this.
My favourite of the products used in the demonstration is the Ultra HD Soft Light highlighter, and feel like this could be a real contender for achieving a healthy, not necessarily blinding glow.
As for the concealer palette, I don’t see it as something I would grab, as I’m not a big fan of colour correction, but it might be worth trying on counter if you have particular concerns such as dark circles, pigmentation and scarring.
What do you think of the new products from MUFE? Is there anything you will pick up?
