When people start to twig on that you enjoy makeup, it becomes a great gift idea. 2017 was full of big, beautiful and aesthetic makeup and beauty gifts.
I love the surprise of beauty gifts, as it gives me a chance to indulge in products or brands that I wouldn’t have been able to purchase myself and may not have tried before.
My first beauty Christmas gift, was technically a late birthday present, but I was given it over the Christmas period. It is the Sephora Favourites Give Me Some Bold Lip Set. I’ve got to say, as a British lip stick lover, I was excited, as this isn’t something I can buy over here (Sephora, please come to the UK. But warn me so I can prepare my bank account!)
This set has 2 full sized lipsticks – Nudestix Magnetic Matte Lip Color in Vino and Too Faced Peaches & Cream Peach Kiss Moisture Matte Long-Wear Lipstick in Drunk Dial (which is a bit of a mouth full) – and 4 deluxe miniature lipsticks – Bite Amuse Bouche Lipstick in Liquorice, Tarte Tarteist Quick Dry Matte Lip Paint in Wannabe, bareMinerals Statement Matte Liquid Lipcolor in VIP and Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in K-Dub. Excitingly, I’ve never tried any of these formulas!
Secondly is the Clinique Indulgent Lashes Set. I adore Clinique, but have only ever tried their Moisture Surge Moisturiser and a sample size of the High Impact Mascara. Given how much I enjoyed High Impact Mascara, I feel like I’m in good hands with Clinique and was excited to try out this set. The set includes a full size Chubby Lash Fattening Mascara in Jumbo Jet, a deluxe sample of Skinny Stick Eyeliner in Slimming Black and a deluxe sample of Pep-Start Eye Cream.
Lastly is the Ted Baker Lips & Tips set in Dark, which includes a red lipstick and a dark plum nail varnish. I’ve got to say the packaging on this set is so decadent. This is a lipstick tube I would be proud to whip out and reapply!
I think all my gift givers were on point with these sets and I love trying them all. What beauty gifts did you get for Christmas?
