Over time I’ve hoarded quite a lot of nail products. Therefore I’ve had to be quite clever about how I store them.
I like to keep them out of light, as I worry that will make them tacky and unusable over time. This case from Soap and Glory is the ideal storage. I got this from their 2016 Christmas bundle gift set.
Inside it is sectioned off by two containers. One is a Barry M makeup bag that I got from Clothes Show 2016 and the other is an old Look Fantastic box. As you can probably tell, I’m a bit of an up-cycler when it comes to storage! I find this is a great way to separate the varnishes from my tools.
In the tools bag, I’ve got everything I need from files, to art pens and toe separators (which I never seem to need but still have). These are my favourite nail tools –
- Models Own Buffer – the perfect quick nail rejuvenation tool. Not too harsh and does the job
- Barry M Quick Dry Top Coat – works as well as high end alternatives and dries even quicker
- Avon Liquid Freeze – great for in between coats to dry them quickly
- Nurture Oil – almond oil which helps keep my nails healthy and moisture
I’m not going to go through all of my collection, but I’d like to do a special shout out to my favourite formula . Kat Von D vs Formula X. These are in Bauhau5 and Homegirl.
Please let me know if you’d like a post on some of the varnishes or types (e.g. glitters, neutrals).
How do you store your nail collection and what’s your favourite formula?
I actually store my small collection in a dark area as well. I keep my polishes in my jewelry vanity(which used to be my moms). The bottom has two deep draws, one is deeper than the other.

Best way! Keeps them the longest. Haven’t had any problems with varnishes getting tacky and old since I’ve been storing them like this!

Happy to see nail oil there! It is the most important thing in nail care. That way they just bend instead of cracking.

Absolutely! Don’t know what I’d do without the stuff!
